Palomito

This refreshing tall drink is what happens when a classic Mojito takes inspiration from the trendy grapefruit Paloma.

Directions: Add 12 mint leaves, 1 1/2 oz (45 mL) white rum and a ½ oz (15 mL) of fresh lime juice to a tall mojito or collins glass. Using a muddler, gently crush the mint with the other ingredients. Add ice and 4 ½ oz of Betty Buzz Sparkling Grapefruit and give a light stir. Garnish with a mint sprig. Makes one drink.

Zero-Proof It!  Muddle the mint with the lime juice and 1 oz iced mint tea instead of rum.

Betty Basil Collins

Fresh herbs liven up this twist on a traditional Collins, that balances subtle sweetness against the citrussy punch of the Betty Buzz Sparkling Lemon Lime.

Directions: Combine 6 fresh basil leaves, 1 ½ oz (45 mL) gin and a ½ oz (15 mL) of agave syrup in a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler, crush the basil with the other ingredients. Strain into an ice-filled wine goblet and add 4 oz (120 mL) of Betty Buzz Sparkling Lemon Lime. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or several strawberries on a pick. Makes one drink.

Zero-Proof It! Skip the gin and use an 1 ½ oz of iced fruit tea instead. (Simply make a cup of fruit tea, let cool and then put in the refrigerator for an hour.)

Ranch Betty

Thanks to a spicy rim, Meyer lemon and a little fresh cucumber, this recipe takes the super-popular Ranch Water trend to a whole new level.

Directions: Cut a cucumber in half, lengthwise and then slice a very thin ribbon off one of the halves to make a cucumber ribbon. Rim a beer mug with Tajín seasoning, fill partway with ice and put the cucumber ribbon inside the glass, using the ice to anchor it. Add 1 ½ oz (45 mL) of blanco tequila (silver) and 4 ½ oz of Betty Buzz Meyer Lemon Club Soda. Makes one drink.

Zero-Proof It! Swap out the tequila and use 1 ½ oz of iced green tea instead.

The Betty Sling

With a little splash of sweet pineapple and spicy ginger, this highball might just be the drink of summer.

Directions: Fill a curvy sling glass with ice cubes. Pour 1 ½ oz (45 mL) gin, 4 oz (120 mL) Betty Buzz Ginger Beer and 2 oz (60 mL) pineapple juice. Garnish with a pineapple spear. Makes one drink.

Zero-Proof It! Instead of using gin, use 1 ½ oz lemon tea.
