Method

Step 1

Soak cedar plank in water for a few hours before using.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients for marinade. Rub marinade on top of salmon and set aside.

Step 3

Pre-heat your BBQ to medium low and set the cedar plank on the grill then close the lid and wait for smoke.

Step 4

Once smoking, lightly oil the plank and set the salmon skin side down on the cedar, close the lid and cook for 12-15 minutes, and the fish is just cooked through.

Step 5

Transfer the plank to a cookie pan with a touch of water in the bottom to extinguish any hot embers. Let the salmon rest for five minutes before serving with the lentil salad.
