- Jerk Seasoning:

- lime zest

- pepper
- 5 mL
- ½ tsp

- Mango Salsa:
- 1
- mango, peeled and diced
- 1
- tomato, diced
- ¼ cup
- finely chopped white onion
- 60 mL
- 2 tbsp
- lime juice
- 30 mL
- ¼ tsp
- salt
- 1 mL
- ¼ tsp
- ground ginger
- 1 mL
- Salmon Steaks:
- 4
- salmon steaks or fillets
- lime wedges for serving
Method
Step 1
Mix Jerk Seasoning ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.
Step 2
In another bowl, stir together all Mango Salsa ingredients. Set aside.
Step 3
Pat salmon steaks dry with paper towel. Coat in Jerk Seasoning. Barbecue salmon on grill preheated to medium-high heat, 5 min. per side or until just cooked through. Serve with Mango Salsa and lime wedges.
Tips
Replace jalapeno with a scotch bonnet pepper for more heat. Protect fingers with food gloves to avoid getting spicy juices in eyes.
Substitute Easy Jerk Seasoning with ready-made jerk seasoning or paste.
